Coronavirus: 3G obligation no longer applicable
New regulations for the public transport and the GVH customer centre
Since Sunday 20 March, the 3G obligation in public transport is no longer applicable in Lower Saxony. A transitional period will last until April 2. Passengers in GVH buses and trams still need to wear a FFP2 mask.
In all buses as well as in enclosed rooms such as stations or ticket locations, it is still mandatory to wear FFP2 masks (KN95/N95) for everybody from the age of 14. Also, children and young people between 6 and 13 must wear masks, but a community mask is sufficient. Children up to the completed 6th year of age and persons whose disease makes it impossible to wear a mask are excluded. The latter should carry a medical certificate and be able to present when requested by the inspection personnel.
GVH customer centre remains open – without 3G obligation, but still with mandatory FFP2 face masks
The GVH customer centre in the Karmarschstraße 30/32 remains open regularly: on workdays from 09:30 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. On Saturday the customer centre is open from 09:30 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.
The regiobus service point is also located within the GVH customer centre in the Karmarschstraße 30/32. It shortens its opening hours until further notice and is open from Monday to Friday between 09:30 a.m. and 03:00 p.m.
Just like inside the vehicles of the public transport, it is also obligatory to wear a FFP2 mask inside the GVH customer centre.
To reduce the public traffic and to follow the recommendations, we recommend buying tickets via the GVH App or at the vending machines.
